Why is a young woman from northern Germany writing a blog about Oregon?
As indicated, I have a very personal relationship with Oregon and the Pacific South Coast through my family. My grandparents emigrated to Oregon in the 1980s, so my mother already grew up there. Not only because of our family ties to the region, but also because of her professional ties to the region, we have traveled to Oregon as a family repeatedly from a young age. So I met a lot of great people here, saw some of the country, and even went to school here for a short time. Oregon has always been like a distant second home to me – an incomprehensibly unknown paradise on earth!
As a history and political science student and an avid globetrotter with a travel guide collection in my own living room, it was only a matter of time before I dedicated my writing to Oregon. With this blog, I want to make Oregon appealing and show you why a visit to this insider tip has so much to offer. I hope that my tips and suggestions will help you – in preparing your trip as well as on the spot. Oregon always awakens in me a nature-loving, adventurous side that you can’t live out anywhere else as well as here. So let yourself be inspired!
